Trust Accountant

With continual growth in Queensland, the corporate head office is now seeking an experienced accountant to join their accounting/finance division. The role will be reporting to a Senior Management Accountant but will support a wider finance team covering a variety of accounting functions.

THE TEAM:

This is a corporate head office located in a premier CBD building, overlooking the Brisbane river. The team has a young and social dynamic, and will suit a professional with confidence, strong communication skills and exceptional customer service. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  
  • Liaising with multiple clients on properties, contract administration and settlements
  • Daily reconciliations in cloud-based trust accounting software
  • Review and report on month end bank reconciliation reports and complete month end trust reconciliation.
  • Complete the settlement process including liaising with clients and solicitors and providing documentation and ABA files for approval by the licensee in charge
  • Providing support to the team during periods where other team members are on leave.
  • Trust Accounting support for a diverse portfolio of clients across Australia
  • Assist clients with best practices and meeting their mandatory reporting obligations
  • Helping clients learn and understand statements & ledgers, amending their errors
  • Mid-month and end-of-month accounting & disbursements
  • EOFY
  • Responding to client tickets promptly

ABOUT YOU:

  • At least 6 months Sales or Property Management trust accounting experience required
  • Relationship building skills with the ability to liaise with clients and internal team members
  • An ability to adapt to an evolving role with enthusiasm
  • High level of attention to detail
