Taxation Consultant - Intermediate

The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a national accounting firm with nearly 50 years of operation in Queensland. This firm has experienced strong growth and become an employer of choice offering a range of services including business services, audit, financial planning and business consulting.  

If you enjoy variety, have strong technical tax skills, and would like to work closely with a Partner, then this role is for you!   

Reputation: 
The firm has a strong client focus and has built a reputation on personal customer service and offering more than just "accounting". As such, they have built a loyal client base with consistent business referrals. 

Reporting to a Partner, you will be responsible for assisting with technical support to deliver taxation/business plans and strategies for clients. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Build and maintain client relationships

• Undertake special taxation advisory services assignments

• Prepare letters of advice and position papers on tax issues

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts and companies

• Prepare or review clients' BAS and IAS returns

• Work on domestic and international tax issues

• Work closely with the transfer pricing team  

Requirements to apply:

• 2-3 years experience in professional services with an emphasis on tax advisory

• A qualified CA/CPA/CTA/Masters of Tax or working towards being qualified

• Capable of building positive relationships with clients and colleagues
