Senior Payroll Officer

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to work in a well-established, mid-tier accounting firm has become available! This is a busy role requiring an experienced, confident, Senior Payroll Officer. This role will suit someone who has a history working in the professional services sector and who enjoys working with a varied portfolio of clients. You will be working as part of a broader team and enjoy a collaborative and positive environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be tasked with working a broad range of clients and oversee their end to end payroll function. This will include identifying areas of process improvement and delivering positive outcomes. You will work closely with your clients and enjoy building solid professional relationships. Additionally, you will be working with a great time in which you will collaborate to ensure overall team success. You duties will include:
Processing of payroll
Advising on and assisting with payroll queries
Reporting
Implementation of new payroll systems when required
Identifying areas of improvement and providing solutions
Preparation and submissions of required reports
Managing workflow

Requisite Skills & Experience
It is essential that you have a background working in the professional services sector
You will have exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for working with clients
Strong understanding of payroll requirements and be up to date with legislation
Ability to work proactively to address an issues and solve problems
Proven ability to work with accuracy
Experience using Xero and MYOB
Must enjoy working as part of a broader team
