Exciting Opportunity: Senior Financial Accountant for a local IT Company – FULL TIME or CONTRACT
  
Our client has been operating for over 20 years and is well established as a premier IT company in the retail, corporate services, and managed services market.  They have a growing number of clients throughout Australia where they service both direct to consumers and wholesale channels.

This is a new role, and an amazing opportunity to take ownership of the entire finance function and oversee and report on the financial health of the business.  Work with a turnover of circa $110Million and 100 staff. 
Please note advanced SAP Business One experience is essential, and experience with SAP Business One implementation is highly regarded.  
This is a strong hands-on support role to the business owners. Progression to a CFO role in the future is on offer for the right person. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for the finance function using SAP Business One.  Responsible for end of month duties (profit and loss statements and balance sheets), and providing financial information to the Director
  • Review of key account reconciliations (debtors, creditors, and inventory)
  • Monthly journals and reconciliations
  • Cashflow, budgets, forecasts
  • Have a proactive approach to improving accounting procedures and policies, to enhance team efficiency and compliance.
  • Providing information to auditors, and initiating internal audits where required to streamline processes

About You:
  • Advanced knowledge of the SAP Business One finance module
  • A self-starter; you must be able to up-skill yourself and gain the knowledge required if there are any gaps;
  • Highly personable; you will be dealing with a range of stakeholders from suppliers, external accountants, and warehousing staff. Therefore, it is critical that you have first class communication skills with any type of stakeholder;
  • You are driven to make a positive impact on internal processes and procedures;
  • Strong foundation in financial reporting knowledge of AASB;
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills;
  • High energy and strong work ethic.
