Senior Bookkeeper

Job description

About the Role: 
This is a senior level bookkeeping role which will see you assisting in the development of a bookkeeping team through training and mentoring. You will manage a portfolio of clients so are able to retain full client contact as well. Your duties will include: 

  • End to end bookkeeping for clients

  • Working closely with clients including training on software

  • Preparation of BAS and IAS

  • Undertaking payroll for clients 

  • Manage workflow for the team

  • Provide assistance to junior staff members when required

About You: 
Ideally you will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. You must come from a public practice accounting background as well as: 

  • Experience in successfully managing a diverse client portfolio

  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team of bookkeepers

  • Experience in dealing directly with clients and assisting them as necessary

  • A demonstrated history in working as part of a team

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A high attention to detail
