Office Administrator

Job description

The Role
Reporting directly to the firm’s leadership team, you will be responsible for undertaking administration duties to assist a team of accountants. You will act as a central point of contact for clients working within the existing processes and procedures to ensure excellence in service standards are consistently maintained. You will enjoy working with a broader administration team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front-of-house duties including answering phones, assisting with client queries and meeting room setup
  • Providing direct support to accountants assisting with collation of income tax returns, preparation of documents, liaising with the ATO on their behalf
  • Onboarding of new clients
  • Updating and maintaining database
  • Following up clients on behalf of accountants and gaining relevant information/documentation
  • Handling client queries
  • Contributing to the continual improvement of streamlining processes
  • Undertaking corporate compliance duties such as establishment of company, trusts and SMSF
About You
  • Previous experience in an administration role within an accounting firm is essential
  • Strong knowledge of MYOB, ATO Portal and ASIC portal
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident liaising with clients, Directors and external stakeholders
  • Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of processes
