Our client is a boutique accounting firm based on the Westside of Brisbane, with free on-street parking. Our client focuses on tax and business advisory services and working with a client base of large companies and High Net Worth individuals. Our client has a fantastic working environment, providing Accountants with a wealth of training and knowledge.

Our client is experiencing growth in their client base and are therefore seeking a Junior/Intermediate Business Services Accountant to join their team.

You will be responsible for preparing compliance work and some tax planning for the clients. This role will offer you the ability to progress in your career with strong promotion opportunities.

The Duties

As a Business Services Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Compliance work for all entity structures
• Preparing financials, tax returns, BAS, IAS
• Liaising with the ATO on behalf of clients
• Div7a, CGT, FBT, Payroll tax and other tax calculations
• Assisting the Directors of the firm
• Utilising HandiTax, MYOB, Xero and Quickbooks

About You

Our client is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic accountant to join their team. To be successful for the role, you will:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Close to completion of CA/CPA studies
• 1-3 years of experience in a public practice firm 
• Experience using MYOB, Xero and Quickbooks [ideal]
• Strong technical skills and ability to communicate with clients
