Internal Finance Manager

The Opportunity
Autonomous, finance leadership role for a highly successful, growth-driven top 10 CA firm with offices located in Brisbane CBD. Their focus is on delivering long-term, strategic and innovative solutions to their loyal client base.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director in a 'hands-on' role, ensuring accounting obligations and requirements of the business are met.
They are seeking a Finance Manager with a growth mindset to support the business leaders in the full finance function.
Your duties would include:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with deadlines.
- Provide variance analysis and financial insights to the Leadership Team.
- Develop financial models and basic dashboards to support decision-making.
- Manage the budgeting process, including preparation, review, and reforecasting.
- Maintain cash flow forecasts and monitor performance against budget.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and debtor management.
- Monitor debtor collections and recommend improvements to optimise cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, Superannuation).
- Work closely with the Partners and Head of Operations to provide financial advice that supports business priorities.
- Qualifications in accounting or finance (CA/CPA desirable but not essential).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance management or senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience managing operational finance processes, including payroll and debtor/creditor management.
- Strong financial reporting skills (experience with Power BI or similar a bonus).
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions focused.
