This is a highly modern and progressive firm that promotes an excellent learning environment for accountants. Working with a wide range of clients from SMEs to large $40 million turnover companies, employees receive broad exposure to tax accounting matters, turning them into well rounded accountants! Client industries are varied and include construction, IT, and real estate. Due to their teams restructure they are seeking an Intermediate Accountant. Ideally seeking a new team member who is able to work in a hybrid capacity or open to accountants who are able to work remotely.

- Progressive firm with cloud-based technologies
- Low turnover team with happy and stable staff
- A tax lawyer is available to chat with every fortnight in case you have any technical tax queries.
- Fortnightly team training + monthly accounting update training + external seminars
- Young and social team with regular team functions
- Complete assigned compliance-based accounting work to meet client needs and contribute to effective practice management.
- Review client files and information provided and preparing first draft financial and tax return documentation for management review.
- Review and delegate compliance-based accounting and tax to junior staff within the team leading to high level of ownership and responsibility.
- Manage clients directly where possible in respect of the collection of information, year-end queries and delivery of financials and returns.
- Work on a variety of entities across different industry sectors.
- Business/Commerce degree majoring in accounting
- On your way to studying your CA/CPA qualification
- 2-3 years' experience in professional services
- Solid tax technical knowledge and accounting skills
- Ability to integrate with a team and collaborate effectively
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and tailoring service
- Ability to use, navigate and troubleshoot common client accounting software packages (ie MYOB, Xero)
- High level of analytical and problem-solving ability
- Outstanding attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
