Our client is situated in Brisbane CBD and has been in operation for over 20 years. They are a full service financial advice business that offers holistic solutions to a client base of affluent individuals and families.

There is a rare opportunity to join the team on a 12-18 month contract as their Head of Operations.

Tasks and responsibilities: 

• Manage licensee business operations including strategic goals and objectives (self-licensed firm)
• Monitoring of financial services legislation and impacts to licensee
• Management of licensee’s ASIC reporting requirements
• Management and oversight of annual financial adviser file reviews and AFSL audits
• IT cybersecurity and management of relationships with Xplan and other software providers/platforms
• Development and management of licensee internal training program and assist with licensee/compliance training
• Provide support to Directors
• Assist with onboarding of new employees
• Investigation of opportunities to improve the licensee’s operational efficiency

About you:

• Extensive experience in the financial planning industry with 2+ years in an operations, compliance and/or practice manager role
• Strong understanding of financial services legislation and licensee requirements/compliance - experience managing an AFSL will be highly regarded
• Understanding of financial adviser annual audit process
• Xplan experience and strong IT skills
• Experience developing and implementing business processes

Salary is flexible depending on skills and experience.
