The Opportunity
This brand new role has been created to support Accountants and Advisors to assist their clients with bookkeeping duties. You will be working for a well-respected public practice accounting/wealth management firm with a large portfolio of clients from the legal industry.  Opportunities like this are rare!   

About the Role
With a focus on bookkeeping and processing, your duties will be to work with a client portfolio and undertake the following duties:

  • Reconciliations for debtors and creditors

  • Month end reconciliations

  • Preparing of monthly and quarterly BAS/IAS

  • Reconciling bank and trust accounts

  • Undertaking payroll for clients

  • Processing of superannuation payments for clients

  • Working with Accountants to ensure deadlines are met

  • Dealing with clients for any queries that arise

About You
Ideally you will have approximately 3 years of experience in bookkeeping.  This is predominately a processing role so you MUST love numbers and assisting clients to ensure accuracy and efficiency. If you have experience working within the Legal sector, this would be an advantage. Additionally, you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal directly with clients

  • High attention to detail

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Experience with Xero, MYOB or Quickbooks

  • Experience using Legal software such as Leap, Affinity and Action Step would be an advantage
