Our client is a 2nd tier accounting firm based in the Brisbane CBD. Their client base consist of not for profit organisations, small businesses, government bodies and large international companies. Due to growth in their Private Clients Team, this client is seeking a Senior Accountant.
The Role:
Complete assigned compliance based accounting work to meet client needs and contribute to effective practice management.
Review client files and information provided and preparing first draft financial and tax return documentation for management review.
Review and delegate compliance based accounting and tax to junior staff within the team leading to high level of ownership and responsibility.
Manage clients directly where possible in respect of the collection of information, year end queries and delivery of financials and returns.
Work on a variety of entities across different industry sectors.
About You:
Business/Commerce degree majoring in Accounting
Completed or be completing your CA/CPA qualification
3 - 5 years' experience in professional services
Solid tax technical knowledge and accounting skills
Ability to integrate with a team and collaborate effectively
Ability to work autonomously and proactively
Ability to work well under pressure
Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and tailoring service
Ability to use, navigate and troubleshoot common client accounting software packages (ie MYOB, Xero)
High level of analytical and problem solving ability
Outstanding attention to detail and time management
Ability to work well under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
