The Opportunity:

My client is a highly reputable 20 staff firm located in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. This firm aims to provide complete solutions to their clients' financial management needs, by offering a wide range of accounting services including taxation accounting, management accounting, bookkeeping, financial planning, audit, and superannuation. The company also places importance on up-to-date systems, processes and training, with accountants working on both XERO and Handisoft.

The company is also well known in the community having supported multiple community events, local schools and sports clubs!

About The Role:

Due to an expansion, they now require a tax and business services accountant to join an established team. Duties will include:

Preparation of reports, financial statements, tax returns and BAS for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSF
Liaise with various authorities on behalf of individuals and clients including the ATO and ASIC
Conduct research on various areas of taxation including CGT, FBT, Payroll Tax and Div. 7a.
Work closely with the Managers and Partners and assist with client advisory and tax planning meetings

About You:

Strong communication skills
At least 3+ years' experience in Public Practice Accounting
Tertiary qualified
Commenced or near completed CA or CPA studies
Experience in SMSF Accounting is highly regarded by not necessary
