The Opportunity:

This highly reputable accounting firm is a well-known organisation in the public practice accounting and wealth services industry. Due to continual growth, they are now in need of an experienced SMSF specialist to support an SMSF Manager.

About The Role:

You will administer and help manage a portfolio of funds (approx. 400) made up of both accumulation and pension funds. Duties include:

Review compliance documents (financial statements and tax returns)
Allocate work to and manage the workflow of junior accountants
Ensure jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines
Manage a portfolio of clients and maintain strong client relationships
Ensure clients are made aware of their compliance obligations
Provide general advice in relation to setting up funds, navigating pension stage funds and the process of buying property etc.
Liaise closely with on-site financial advisor and external stakeholders

Your Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience working with self-managed super funds in an Australian accounting firm
We will consider tax accountants with SMSF experience wanting to specialise in SMSF Accounting
Experience with Class Super is highly regarded
