Senior Tax Advisor

The Opportunity:

Our client is a highly successful mid-tier firm with over 150 staff and offices across Queensland, NSW and ACT. In Brisbane, they offer a range of services to clients including Audit, SMSF, Business Services, Forensics and Taxation. 

Due to growth, they are now seeking an experienced accountant to support a specialist Tax Partner. This position sits alongside the Business Services division and focuses on unique and complex taxation issues.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to a Partner, you will assist with advising high net wealth individuals and family groups on tax issues that impact various transactions. 

You will be exposed to various tax issues including income tax, CGT and GST, and help provide tax effective solutions related to: 

• business structuring
• family succession
• family law
• estate planning
• corporate transactions
• expert witness reports in tax matters
• dispute matters, including ATO audits 

• At least 4 years' experience in public practice accounting 
• Previous experience in taxation and/or business services 
• Have a keen interest in specialist tax matters 
• Be a natural researcher and problem solver  
• Completed or near completion of CA or CPA studies
