Senior SMSF Accountant

Job description


THE OPPORTUNITY: 
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful accounting firm on the Bayside. Working full-time you will have the opportunity to learn and be mentored closely by a Manager in the area of SMSF Accounting.

You will perform full function compliance for a portfolio of funds varying in complexities:
  • Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for self-managed superannuation fund clients
  • Processing of transactions from source documentation into Class Super
  • Preparation of electronic work paper files
  • Reviewing taxation notices and preparing correspondence to clients
  • Liaising with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients
  • Processing transactions for Trustees, benefits transfers, contributions and benefits payments on behalf of clients
  • Ensuring jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines
  • Ensuring clients are made aware of their compliance obligations

  REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 
  • Experience working in an accounting firm is necessary
  • Completion of bachelor's degree in accounting
  • At least 3-4 years' experience in SMSF Accounting
