Senior Management Accountant

With continual growth in Queensland, the corporate head office located in the heart of the Brisbane CBD is now seeking an experienced accountant to join their accounting/finance division. The role will be reporting to a Finance Team Leader but will support a wider finance team covering a variety of accounting functions.

• Create monthly financials and management reports 
• Annual budgeting and regular cashflow reporting 
• Discuss trends and changes with business owners  
• Review and complete monthly accounting processes including bank reconciliations, AP, AR and payroll
• Complete compliance processes including balance sheet reconciliations and BAS/IAS reporting and lodgements
• Prepare and analyse ad hoc financial reports to assist with business decisions 
• Support the leadership team with strategic financial decisions
• Help to supervise junior accountants; allocate work, review and provide on the job mentorship 

• Experience with using XERO 
• Strong customer service and communication skills 
• Enjoys a mixed role including hands-on financial work, analysis and client management 
• Previous experience in a similar management accountant role 
• Experience working within a franchisee model is highly regarded 
• We will consider candidates coming from a public practice accounting background with experience preparing month-end financial reporting for clients
