Our client is a unique Brisbane based public practice accounting firm with a well-respected reputation in the industry.  The firm has an established client base which includes an impressive portfolio of HNW clients. They are currently seeking to engage a Senior Accountant with aspirations to progress to equity partner. Their priority is to engage a capable, qualified candidate with the right attitude to help build upon the firms' success. 

About The Role

With the opportunity for an accelerated pathway to equity partnership, this is a role for a Senior Accountant who is seeking to secure their future.  The role will have a focus on developing business opportunities and build on the existing impressive client base. You will work alongside the Director to establish your place in the firm.  Your duties will include:

- Managing a team of Accountants
- Managing productivity of the team
- Reviewing work of junior staff members
- Undertaking the provision of high level taxation advice to clients
- Undertaking financial modelling and strategic planning
- Financial reporting

This role will have a strong focus on business development and will suit a candidate who enjoys being client facing. Your passion for developing new business will be highly regarded.  

About You

You will be an experienced Accountant who has a demonstrated history in undertaking high level tax compliance and business advisory work.  You will be professional and maintain high standards in regard to your work.  Ideally you will be CA/CPA qualified and also possess the following: 

- Strong technical base in both HNW and SME clients
- Demonstrated management skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
- High level of technological skills, preferably experienced in XERO
