About the company:
Our client is a large sized financial planning firm who has been in operation for over 13 years. They have offices located in a number of different locations throughout Australia, with this position being based in the Brisbane CBD. They deliver high quality, professional advice to their client base, which ranges from medical and business professionals to families and wealth accumulators.

About the role:
To keep up with continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced paraplanner to join an existing paraplanning team, which will see you support a team of financial advisers. You will be required to complete relevant research and modelling for plans, peer review advice documents, along with preparing simple, standard, and complex advice documents.

Duties:

  • Complete research in relation to investment and super products

  • Prepare insurance needs analyses and prepare insurance quotes

  • Peer review of advice documents

  • Prepare simple, standard, and complex advice documents

  • Prepare projections in relation to social security, aged care, super, investments, and debt reduction

Skills & experience:

  • Prior experience in a paraplanning position

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

  • Competent Xplan experience (Xtools+, Wealth Solver, and Risk Researcher)

  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail

  • Comprehensive understanding of SMSF, super, insurance, investments, tax, gearing, and aged care
