Management Accountant

Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a Management Accountant to deliver high-quality outsourced accounting services to a portfolio of clients. This is a hands-on role with strong client engagement, financial reporting, and commercial insight responsibilities.

The firm is also open to considering Tax & Business Services Accountants who have had exposure to management accounting and are looking to transition into a more commercially focused role.


Key Responsibilities

As a Management Accountant, you will oversee a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, managing their financial operations and delivering timely, insightful reports. Responsibilities include:

• Manage monthly accounting processes including journals, reconciliations, and adjustments
• Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS
• Produce tailored monthly management reports with financial insights
• Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
• Assist clients with system queries and accounting software support (XERO and MYOB)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and reporting initiatives alongside the Finance Manager
• Mentor junior team members and drive continuous process improvement

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant, or in Tax & Business Services with exposure to management reporting
• Experience working across multiple entities or client portfolios is highly regarded
• Background in a professional services environment is advantageous
• Strong technical skills in XERO and/or Netsuite
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client relationship skills
• Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
