THE FIRM

This firm has a strong reputation in the industry and provides a broad variety of accounting services including tax/business services, Australian and International tax advisory, superannuation and audit. It has several teams within its Business Services division and you will have the opportunity to learn and be mentored closely by the Managers and Partners. 

The firm has a very impressive client base, from SMEs through to companies with large turnovers, with clients from a range of sectors including property, construction, agriculture, IT and retail. 

Due to continual growth, they are now seeking an experienced Tax & Business Services Accountant to join their successful team. 


YOUR ROLE

You will assist with a full range of tax compliance and general business services matters. As the firm advises an excellent spread of clients you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to complex work, clients with multi-entities, group structures etc.

Duties include: 

• Financial reports and income tax preparation for companies, trusts, partnerships and HNW individuals 

• Advising clients in relation to income tax, FBT, CGT, payroll tax and GST 

• Assist the Seniors and Partners with Tax Planning and financial strategizing for clients 

• Assist with providing on the job mentoring to junior accountants

ABOUT YOU

• At least 2 years of experience within a public practice environment

• Experienced preparing BAS, tax returns and financial statements for various business entities

• Experience utilising Xero or accounting softwares

• Driven and motivated attitude 

• Excellent communication skills 

• Enthusiastic to continually learn and develop
