THE COMPANY

Our client is a highly respected and well-established Australian brand with a legacy spanning over 100 years. With a strong presence across Australasia and continued growth in Queensland, their corporate head office in Brisbane CBD is now seeking an experienced Accountant to join their finance team.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, reporting to a Finance Manager while collaborating with a wider finance division. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of accounting functions while playing a key role in financial decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports

  • Assist with annual budgeting and cashflow forecasting

  • Analyse financial trends and discuss key insights with business owners

  • Manage month-end processes including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

  • Oversee compliance functions such as BAS/IAS lodgements and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions

  • Work closely with leadership on strategic financial planning

  • Supervise junior accountants by allocating tasks, reviewing work, and providing mentorship


ABOUT YOU

  • Proficient in Xero

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Enjoys a mix of hands-on accounting, analysis, and client engagement

  • Candidates from public practice with experience preparing month-end financial reports are encouraged to apply
