Our client is a well-respected accounting firm located in Mount Gravatt, seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced leaders while gaining exposure to a diverse client portfolio and a broad range of tax and business services work.

The firm offers exposure to a wide variety of SME clients and can provide training in SMSF if this is an area you would like to develop.

The business is currently undertaking an exciting transition to Xero and Xero Practice Manager, creating opportunities to be involved in process improvements and modernisation initiatives.

• $75,000 - $90,000 + Super (depending on experience)
• 1 day work from home after probation

The Role

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
• Assist with BAS, IAS and compliance requirements
• Liaise directly with clients and build strong relationships
• Assist senior staff with tax planning and advisory projects
• Work across a diverse portfolio of SME clients
• Gain exposure to SMSF compliance and administration

About You

• 2+ years' experience within Australian Public Practice
• Studying towards or completed CA/CPA qualifications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
• Desire to continue learning and developing technically
