Assistant Accountant

The Opportunity:

Our client is a well-established prominent franchise group with 30 years of presence in the local market.  Seeking an assistant accountant to join their team.  Based at Bowen Hills.  The role is fast paced, high volume of transactional work, along with great training for end of month reporting. 

For the right individual, this role offers a clear pathway to future progression within the business. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Receivable 
  • Accounts Payable (end to end)
  • Payroll (end to end) – about 60 staff on a weekly basis, must have good current knowledge of entitlements and legislation. 
  • End of Month (Balance sheet reconciliations, prepayment, and accrual journals, reconciling clearing accounts)
  • Multi-entity or franchise exp essential for inter-entity work
Experience & Attributes:
  • Has the relevant experience with multi-entity work 
  • Willingness to learn
  • Positively contribute to organizational culture
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Xero experience with payroll
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Tanda/Deputy experience highly regarded
