With continual growth in Queensland, the corporate head office is now seeking an experienced accountant to join their accounting/finance division. The role will be reporting to a Senior Manager and working within a wider team of 20 staff.

[DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES]
- Responsibility for a portfolio of clients and the overall accounting solution provided
- Month end processes and the creation of monthly management reports
- Meeting regularly with clients to discuss their financial results, benchmarking, cost base analysis and other ad hoc advice as required
- Review and oversight of the monthly accounting processes (including bank reconciliations, client queries, debtors, creditors) completed by the Assistant Accountant team
- Completion of payroll processes including liaising with clients over agent commissions and bonuses
- Completion of compliance processes including balance sheet reconciliations, BAS/IAS
reporting and lodgments, superannuation and payroll tax - Annual budgeting process for each client and cash flows where required
[ABOUT YOU]
- 2–3 years’ previous accounting experience in a professional services or commercial environment
- You have confidence in picking up the phone, online meetings and wanting to help and grow small businesses is essential.
- Currently undertaking, or intending to commence, CA or CPA studies
- Demonstrated experience using Xero across its full range of core functions
- Strong relationship-building skills, with a social, fun personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence interacting with a broad range of external clients
- Solid core accounting knowledge, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
